The South Korean Prosecutor’s Office requested the extension of Yoon’s detention until February 6
reports Mehr News Agency South Korea’s local media have been requesting the South Korean Prosecutor’s Office again to extend the arrest of Eun Suk Yul, the country’s departed President until February 6, for further investigations.
South Korean Prosecutor’s Office has re-applied just four hours after the Central Court’s request was rejected on Friday night.
South Korean Prosecutor’s Office has emphasized the need for further investigations, referring to Yun’s repeated refusal to inspect the corruption of senior officials.
South Korea’s high-ranking anti-corruption office referred to the Central Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday. The court will probably decide late today on the request of the detention order.
If the request is rejected, the prosecutor will probably issue an indictment for Yun, who is currently under arrest.
Annie’s arrest was ordered to extend the detention for 7 days, January 7 by another court in Seoul. Yoon Suk Yul is the first president to serve South Korea to be officially arrested.
He was arrested in the South Korean presidential office on January 5. The impeachment plan of Yun was approved on December 5 at the National Assembly and referred to the South Korean Constitutional Court for final decision -making. During this period, Yun’s presidency will be suspended.
Yun, who referred to the insurgency leader in the case of the uprising against the country, announced a military rule in December last year, which was canceled after four hours with the National Assembly.
