Nachirvan Barzani, the head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region and the Patriotic Union Party of Kurdistan, welcomed Abdullah Ocalan's message about the dissolution and disarmament of the PKK.

reports Mehr News Agency Ocalan welcomed the need for the dissolution of the PKK and the disarmament of the group.

“Nachirvan Barzani” emphasized the full support of the peace process between Turkey and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, pointing out that it is now the time of peaceful struggle instead of armed conflict.

Barzani also emphasized Erbil’s readiness to play a role in concluding the peace process between Turkey and the PKK, calling for Ocalan’s request for weapons and dissolution.
The Iraqi Patriotic Union also welcomed Abdullah Ocalan’s call for the dissolution of the PKK and considered this message to be important for achieving inclusive peace.

“Abdullah Ocalan” Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s prisoner (PKK) today ended a four-decade quarrel with Turkey.

Ocalan after meeting with representatives of the People’s Party of Democracy and Democracy on the island of Amruli emphasized: All groups must land their weapons and the PKK must dissolve themselves.

He emphasized his support for civil struggle instead of armed conflict, adding: “The Kurds should hold a political conference.” Kurds and Turks have lived together for thousands of years and have the same fate.

Kurdistan Workers’ Party head said: I want to land weapons and take the historical responsibility of this call. The way we struggle is democracy and the creation of a democratic society. There is no other way than democracy and dialogue, and the republic will not survive except through brotherly democracy.
