Schultz: Ukrainian disarmament is not acceptable
reports Mehr News Agency Azam Germany, who will soon be replaced by Friedrich Merts, said in response to British Prime Minister Kar Starmer’s remarks about the formation of a new coalition from Ukraine -based countries against Russia, saying Europe’s security should focus on “strengthening Ukraine”.
Starmer hosted an emergency meeting about Ukraine yesterday in London, and acknowledged that some Kiev supporters have restricted their resources, those who are capable of supplying assistance and resources must take action urgently.
Schultz did not clarify after the emergency meeting on whether Berlin would send a military force, but emphasized the continued military and financial support from Ukraine.
“It is clear that we must support Ukraine financially and militarily,” he said. Berlin alone has collected a total of $ 5 billion for Kiev.
According to the Kille Institute, Germany is the second largest supporter of the country in the war with Russia with about $ 5 billion in military and financial aid to Ukraine.
“Secondly, we need to know that Ukraine’s ability to defend itself and to have a powerful army will be in the center of any future peace system, and all European security architecture must be around this center,” said Schultz.
Russia has emphasized that NATO’s expansion to its borders has fueled war. Moscow has also rejected any temporary ceasefire and has emphasized a permanent agreement. According to Moscow, peace can only be achieved when Ukraine is committed to the principle of impartiality, disarmament, and the recognition of new territorial realities.
However, Schultz rejected Moscow’s concern: Russian opinions are not acceptable. This also applies to the issue of disarmament Russian asking. Ukraine should be strong enough to be re -invaded.
Schultz also claimed that such a matter is not acceptable to a “democratic and independent state like Ukraine”!
The five-year presidency of Walodimir Zelnsky ended in Ukraine last year, but he refused to hold the election and the reason for the military rule applied in year 6. After US President Donald Trump called him “dictatorship without elections”, Ukrainian lawmakers supported Zelnsky’s claim to presidential powers!
