Warning about human disaster in the city of Rafah
Mehr News Agency quoted by Shahab News Agency, the municipality of Rafah warned in a statement about the occurrence of a cruel humanitarian catastrophe. Successively, living in this crisis -sized city has brought to full paralysis.
The statement says: Rafah, which has already been destruction, siege and occupation, is now facing a new vital threat. The sharp decline in fuel due to the closure of the crossings can lead to water cuts, disruption of wells, and complete collapse of the remaining services in a city, with more than 2 % being destroyed and still more than 2 % of its area occupied by Israeli forces.
The statement pointed to the conversion of the city of Rafah to the city of Ghosts: Rafah has been sentenced to gradual death by cutting fuel and preventing minimum vital needs. How can people survive without water and without the most basic services, which are basic human rights?
Rafah municipality emphasized that his efforts to reduce residents’ suffering continued, but without fuel, these efforts are no longer possible and tens of thousands of people are seriously dangerous.
In this statement, the municipality of Rafah called on all awakened consciences, humanitarian institutions and effective parties to act immediately to save Rafah and not let the city stay alone in the dark and catastrophe.
