Kremlin on Trump’s alleged letter: Iran is independent and decides itself

The Kremlin said Monday that Russia had consulted with Iran before or after Tehran President Donald Trump’s allegations of negotiating a nuclear deal, saying that Tehran was taking its political positions independently.

Peskov added about possible talks on Tehran’s nuclear program: It is clear that Iran is seeking negotiations based on mutual respect and constructive negotiations. Reuters reported that Trump had earlier claimed that it would re -apply the policy of “maximum pressure” to Iran; But Iran’s leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Saturday the day after Trump said he had sent a letter and asked Iran to negotiate on the new nuclear deal.
