Iraq’s preliminary action to hold parliamentary elections
The High Commissioner for the Iraqi Election announced the initial measures to hold the parliamentary elections, which will be held later this year.

Iraqi Election Commissioner, pointing out that the information update process, including adding people born to voters, also announced the number of voters for the future election.
High Commissioner has put the necessary measures, including fingerprint software updates, contracts with inspection companies, and solving unknown fingerprints in the previous election.
Al-Arabi al-Jadid reported: “Given the Iraqi population increase to about 5 million, there will be a possibility of increasing parliamentary seats from 5 seats or the number of election constituencies in the country’s populated provinces.
