Irvani: The Security Council meeting is a provocative and unacceptable action
report Mehr News Agency Qatar Al Jazeera Network, Amir Saeed Yarvani, Iran’s representative in Tehran. The Security Council is “provocative and unjustified” about the nuclear program.
he described the meeting as a “apparent political maneuver” and “using the Security Council to advance the limited goals of some countries” and warned that such actions would create a dangerous history and undermine the credibility of the Security Council.
Iran’s representative emphasized that the issues raised at the meeting have a technical aspect and fall within the authority of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He blamed countries that violated the nuclear deal and insisted that Iran would not negotiate under pressure and threat and would not accept any imposition.
Irvani warned that any attempt to impose an unfair agreement on Iran would be doomed to failure.
