Putin: The ceasefire agreement with Ukraine should lead to “long -term” peace

reports Mehr News Agency The Russian Republic says it agrees with US suggestions to stop clashes in Ukraine, but any ceasefire agreement must lead to long -term peace.

The Ukrainian delegation and US representatives met in Jeddah on March 5, and then issued a statement by Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnski. According to the statement, the parties agreed to finalize the Comprehensive Ukrainian vital Natural Resources Development Agreement.
Kiev also announced his readiness to accept Washington’s proposal to launch a six-day ceasefire in the war with Russia. On the other hand, Washington also pledged to resume assistance and information for Kiev.

While Yuri Yushakov, the Kremlin’s senior adviser, has insisted that there is no benefit to Russia in the US proposal, while the 6-day ceasefire gives Ukrainian forces an opportunity to breathe and renew.

Reuters, the Russian army has been progressing since mid-year and has taken control of about one-fifth of Ukraine’s territory. Moscow, which began its “special military operation” in Ukraine in February, cited Kiev’s ambition to join NATO as one of the root causes of the dispute.
