EU Summit to Increase aid to Ukraine
reports Mehr News Agency Ukrainian President Zelksky is due to address EU leaders at the Brussels summit on Thursday.
According to the news agency, the heads of the EU member states come together today in Brussels to discuss more support for Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelksky is set to begin with a video lecture.
Deutsche Welle reports that members of the block, with the exception of Hungary, are expected to agree with the text that support Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and integrity and ask Russia to show “real political will” to end the conflict.
EU leaders are also expected to address the European Commission’s proposals to increase military spending and buy more European weapons.
EU foreign policy chief Kaya Calas said Wednesday that he would make a proposal for Kiev’s defense of 5 million bullets for Kiev’s defense.
