China: America Choose a conversation instead of conflict
reports Mehr News Agency The prime minister emphasized that no one would benefit from the trade war and that the development of countries will not be achieved by the imposition of customs tariffs.
“We hope the United States will be in touch with us instead of confrontation,” said Chinese Prime Minister Lee Chiang.
According to media reports, the Chinese prime minister has made the remarks during a meeting with US delegation chaired by US Republican Senator Steve Denus and a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump in Beijing.
The meeting is held when China-US relations have been darkened due to additional tariffs by the Trump administration on Chinese goods.
Trump plans to apply a new round of tariffs against all countries that are closed on US imports in early April.
