He founded a concept of religious leadership that would remain rich in any influence, both outside and from within the religious institution.
This independence can be seen in the consolidation of the Imam’s role in rejecting the theory of dependence on the East and the West, because Imam Khomeini was comprehensive from the theoretical point of view. In other words, he was able to bring together different theoretical dimensions such as philosophy, mysticism, ethics, politics and jurisprudence. Therefore, if these principles were implemented in society, there would be no need to rely on other ideologies.
Imam believed that one should not think of Russian socialism or American capitalism. On the other hand, the Western world also concluded that this revolution and Imam Khomeini’s ideas would increase the consciousness of the Islamic world for Palestinian rights, which would endanger the interests of the Zionist regime but also its existence.
In this regard, they mentioned the announcement of World Quds Day by Imam Khomeini on the last Friday of Ramadan; The day the Imam considered it to be all the Islamic nation, but also to the whole world. He emphasized the importance of the liberation of Quds and Palestine as a religious duty and held responsible for the Muslims to respond to any moment when the Palestinians are imprisoned in the siege of a regime called “Israel”. The regime that the Imam promised will disappear from the page of the day.
Imam Khomeini, even before the overthrow of the Shah’s regime, showed in his practical life that the concept of freedom is opposed to concepts such as occupation, captivity and usurpation; Concepts that trigger people’s feelings. The freedom that Imam Rahel promoted was the most dangerous concept for the Zionist regime and his supporters. This freedom was a great danger, because it painted a world in which free humans would make their own destiny.
Imam Khomeini’s sensitivity should not be limited to the oppression and occupation of land and humans in Palestine. He also saw another aspect of the fact that it was the global confrontation of the oppressed against the arrogant. To accomplish this, Imam Khomeini presented a set of concepts related to freedom and duty along with the Palestinian issue and outlined a roadmap for the oppressed. One of the most important concepts that emphasized this path was Quds Day.
Imam Khomeini emphasized that the day of Quds belongs not only to the oppressed of Quds, but to all the oppressed in the world. He called for the end of American domination, global arrogance, and other colonial and capitalist governments, and spoke about the need to clear history from the symbols and personalities of Western domineering and arrogant Western. Because as long as these elements are present in history and continue, justice will not be established in the world, and colonial currents will continue to dominate different parts of the world.
Imam Khomeini sent a special message to the Islamic Ummah by crossing geographical boundaries, and that the revival of the Quds Day would be a source of awakening and awareness. He once again revived the issue, even after the Palestinian issue was marginalized in the shadow of the normalization of relations with Zionism. His World Quds Day, the Islamic Republic’s widespread support for the Palestinian fighters, and the change of equations in favor of Palestinian freedom from the creek to the recent missile war were all the result of the way Imam Khomeini had drawn.

None of the global challenges made even one word from his position changed. The Palestinian issue was a belief issue, not a matter of transaction or breakdown. The Imam has always been a proportion of unity and solidarity among Muslims as well as among the oppressed. ”
