Kremlin: We welcome US -Iran negotiations
reports Mehr News Agency Referring to US President Donald Trump’s claim yesterday about negotiations with Iran on its nuclear program and Tehran’s response to the claim, the Kremlin said Russia welcomed any negotiations.
“We support the direct negotiations between the United States and Iran,” said Peskov, in response to Trump’s claim and whether Moscow supports direct negotiations between the US and Iran, because we have repeatedly declared that we are supporting the diplomatic settlement of Iran’s nuclear case.
“We know that direct and indirect calls (between Iran and the United States) are planned and we welcome it because this process will lead to stress surrounding Iran,” he said.
Trump yesterday after meeting with Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has traveled to the White House, claimed “we are conducting direct talks with Iran.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Sayed Abbas Arakchi, in response to Trump’s claim, insisted that negotiations with Washington in Oman would be indirectly.
