China’s reaction to next week’s Iran -US negotiations in Muscat
reports Mehr News Agency Referring to the Tehran-Washington talks in Oman, Foreign China urged the United States to show its “political honesty and mutual respect” in these negotiations.
US President Donald Trump claimed yesterday that direct talks with Iran on Tehran’s nuclear program will begin on Saturday. Iranian Foreign Minister Sayed Abbas Arakchi rejected Trump’s claim that talks with the United States in Muscat were indirectly planned.
“The United States, as a country that, unilaterally out of a comprehensive agreement on Iran’s nuclear issue, has to show political honesty and mutual respect,” said Jian.
He emphasized: Washington should be involved in discourse and consultation, while at the same time, stopping its wrong way to use the maximum pressure.
“China has continued to keep contact with all parties involved and actively promoted peace and discourse and calls for a diplomatic solution as soon as possible,” said China’s senior diplomat.
