Control of the large refugee camp in Darfur by Sudan Rapid Reaction Forces

, Sudan’s rapid reaction forces have issued a statement saying they took control of the Zamzam refugee camp in northern Darfur. The camp, along with the camp Abu Huk near it, hosts about 6,000 displaced from Sudan’s civil war.
Relief agencies announced that hundreds have been killed or injured after recent attacks, and vital infrastructure such as shelters, markets and medical centers have been destroyed.
The camp said that the camp had become a “mercenary group” base, but relief agencies and international supervisors described the attack as targeting civilians, including women, children and the elderly.
clashes between RSF and Sudan Army around the city Al-Fashar , the Center for Darfur has intensified. The Sudanese Liberation Army Rebellion (SLA), a national union, said tens of thousands of residents of Zamzam camp have fled to al-Fashar and now live without access to food, water and medicine.
