Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein emphasized that Syria’s stability is a key factor in the stability of the entire region, adding that foreign interference, especially the Zionist regime’s repeated attacks on Syria, has made the situation more complicated.
on the Zionist regime’s invasion of the Gaza Strip, the Iraqi Foreign Minister strongly condemned the attacks and blamed it as a blatant violation of international law and emphasized Iraq’s support for the Palestinian nation’s rights.
Fouad Hussein also called for a reinforcement of internal dialogue between various Lebanese parties and emphasized the need to resolve regional crises through dialogue, not by military.
Fouad Hussein also pointed to the development of bilateral relations, especially in security and economic areas, and said: “We are trying to strengthen cooperation to tackle common challenges, including combating terrorism and controlling borders.”
Fouad Hussein also described Ankara as an important partner in trying to stabilize the region.
Iraqi Foreign Minister welcomed the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the United States, saying: “We hope the talks will continue and lead to an initial agreement to eliminate the shadow of the war; Because it will replace it for the region and the world. The Iranian and American sides have announced their readiness to continue the talks, and we see this as a positive step.
He also emphasized the importance of neighboring countries’ cooperation in the fight against terrorism and warned that chaos and lack of stability would pave the way for the expansion of extremist groups, as it happened with the emergence of ISIS in Syria.
Fouad Hussein emphasized the necessity of creating a common mechanism at a high level to counter future terrorist threats, saying that Iraq plays a central role in leaving a balanced foreign policy based on a joint dialogue and understanding.
