Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General: “Those Who Seek to Disarm the Resistance Are Delusional”
According to a Mehr News Agency report citing Al-Manar, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General, began his speech moments ago, addressing recent developments, particularly Lebanon’s defense strategy.
Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized that the resistance has not weakened, stating: “Anyone who believes the resistance is weak is living in an illusion.”
Regarding the Lebanese government’s response to the ongoing Zionist occupation, he said: “Naturally, if the government fails to protect its land and people, the resistance will take on that role.”
The Hezbollah leader further stressed: “We confront occupation with strength, national unity, military reinforcement, and the readiness of the resistance. We will never surrender. We are not weak; we stand for confrontation, dignity, and honor for our land and people.”
He added: “Anyone demanding the disarmament of the resistance is effectively serving the Zionist enemy. Those who seek to disarm the resistance aim to sow discord between the resistance and the army.”
The Hezbollah Secretary-General also stated: “We have no issue with the Lebanese army—our only problem is with Israel. Under no circumstances will we allow Hezbollah to be disarmed. Those who entertain such ideas should rid themselves of them immediately.”
