Sudan’s Ambassador in Moscow Reacts to Reports of Gaza Relocation Plan to Sudan
According to teh English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Mohammed Siraj, Sudan’s ambassador to Russia, responded to reports about a plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Sudan.
he stated: “We have no information about negotiations with the U.S. or israel regarding the transfer of Gaza residents to Sudan, and we strongly oppose any relocation of Palestinians.”
Sudan’s ambassador in Moscow added: “We adhere to UN resolutions on the Palestinian issue, including the resolution concerning the establishment of a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital.”
Earlier,several media outlets—including U.S.-based Associated Press and CBS—reported that the U.S. and the Zionist regime had discussed with officials from Sudan,Somalia,and Somaliland authorities the possibility of relocating Gaza residents to thes regions.
Meanwhile, Associated Press cited Sudanese officials as saying that Sudan’s government has rejected any plan for transferring Palestinians from Gaza into its territory.
