Kremlin Comments on Key Points of Sultan of Oman’s Meeting with Putin
Kremlin Spokesperson Addresses Topics of Oman Sultan’s Meeting with Putin and Trump’s Possible Visit to Moscow for May 9 Ceremony
According to a report by teh English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RIA Novosti, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Office (Kremlin), did not rule out the possibility of President Putin discussing Iran’s nuclear program with the Sultan of Oman during their meeting in a statement issued on Monday.
The Kremlin spokesperson stated that regional issues would be addressed during this meeting.
In another part of his statement,Dmitry peskov added that there had been no discussion regarding Donald Trump’s visit to Moscow to attend the May 9 ceremony.
Victory Day, or Den’ Pobedy, commemorates the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War. The celebration was first held after Germany’s surrender document was signed at midnight on May 8, 1945 (which was already May 9 in Moscow time). It was observed across all 16 republics of the Soviet Union.
