Egypt and China Conduct Joint Air Exercise Named “Civilization Eagles 2025”
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Middle East Monitor, China and Egypt have conducted their first joint air force exercise.China’s state media (CCTV) reported that the joint air force drill, titled “Civilization Eagles 2025,” commenced at an egyptian airbase. China deployed fighter jets, early warning aircraft, aerial refueling tankers, and helicopters for the exercise.
Per CCTV’s report, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force participated with J-10C fighter jets, YU-20 tankers, and KJ-500 early warning aircraft. Meanwhile,Egypt utilized MiG-29 fighters in the drills.
In a statement regarding the exercise, China’s Ministry of Defense emphasized its meaning in enhancing practical cooperation while strengthening friendship and mutual trust between Beijing and Cairo.
