Harvard University Sues US Federal Government, Accusing Trump Management of Unlawfully Halting Funding
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, Harvard University has issued a statement announcing that it has filed a legal complaint against Washington due to the federal government’s suspension of funding.
Harvard University stated that the halt in its allocated federal funding is an unlawful act beyond the authority of the governing body.
The university added that over the past week, the U.S. government imposed punitive measures against it for non-compliance with what Harvard deems illegal demands.
The statement further emphasized that these demands constitute blatant interference in the university’s internal affairs and could impose unprecedented and unjustified control over academic institutions.Harvard also warned that the federal government has launched several official investigations into the university’s activities and has even jeopardized the educational environment by threatening the status of international students.
