A Russian Company Participates in Iraq’s Defense Exhibition After 2 Decades
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Russia is participating for the first time in two decades in Iraq’s military and defense security exhibition, IQDEX 2025.
The Russian company Expert, affiliated with Russia’s Rostec, operates in military and defense affairs.
analysts believe that the participation of this Russian company in the exhibition is significant as,as 2003,Iraq has been pressured by the U.S. to shift its arms procurement from Eastern suppliers to Western ones—specifically America.
This issue has allowed the U.S. to use arming Iraqi military forces as a tool for exerting pressure on the country.
