Palestinian Leaders Arrested in Syria for the First Time
Palestinian Sources Report Arrest of 2 leaders of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Syria
according to the english section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news agency, Palestinian sources based in Damascus reported that elements linked to the terrorist groups controlling Syria have arrested two Palestinian leaders in recent days.
The report states that khaled Khaled, Hamas’ representative in Syria, and Abu Ali Yasser, head of the movement’s executive committee in Damascus, were detained.
The sources added that Palestinian and Arab leaders inside and outside Syria are working to secure their release.
This marks the first time Palestinian leaders have been arrested in Syria. Thirteen Palestinian groups are based in Syria, though some have left the contry. Meanwhile, the terrorist regime of al-Jolani has taken no action against Zionist regime aggressions toward Syria.
