Trump to Unveil Ukraine Peace Plan Imminently
According to the English section of “Webangah News Agency,” citing Mehr News Agency and RT (Ruptly), U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he will publicly unveil his peace plan to resolve the Ukraine war by the end of this week.
As reported by the New York Post, the White House’s proposal may involve deploying European troops to Ukraine to maintain a potential ceasefire.
Trump announced his plan while both he and Marco Rubio,Secretary of State in his administration, emphasized last week that Washington would abandon its efforts for peace and ending hostilities if no significant progress is observed in Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations.
Regarding his Ukraine peace plan, Trump said: “Within three days, I will provide you with full details. Of course,we’ve had very good meetings on the Russia-Ukraine issue.”
And we will see whether (these meetings) will yield results.
The New York Post reported yesterday, citing a senior U.S.official, that Russia and Ukraine are currently discussing trump’s proposal within their respective countries.
According to the source, the peace terms have not been “finalized,” but the U.S. president’s plan includes deploying troops from Western Europe to Ukraine after hostilities end.
The New York Post quoted the official as saying that these so-called “deployed forces are part of the security guarantees Ukraine has requested, and we hope it gets what it wants.”
The official also added that discussions have taken place regarding deploying another peacekeeping unit to monitor a potential ceasefire—likely something resembling a “joint commission” involving Russia, Ukraine, and a non-NATO third country.
According to them, U.S. involvement is also possible in this matter—not as “ground troops but as…The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Trump’s plan includes “recognizing Russia’s sovereignty over the Crimean peninsula.” Russia has dismissed any potential deployment of European forces to Ukraine and emphasized that any peace agreement must address the “root causes” of the ongoing war, including NATO’s expansion eastward toward its borders and Kyiv’s aspirations to join the military alliance.
