Vance: We Will Withdraw from Talks if Moscow and Kyiv Reject Peace Proposal
U.S. Vice president Says Washington Will withdraw From Peace talks if Moscow and kyiv Reject Proposed Plan
Teh U.S. has drafted a “very clear proposal,” and if Moscow and Kyiv do not agree to this plan, Washington will withdraw from the peace negotiations, according to JD Vance, Vice President under donald Trump.
Following Vance’s tourist visit to the Taj Mahal, Bloomberg quoted him as saying: “It’s time for them to either say yes or for America to walk away from this process.”
He added that to stop the bloodshed, both sides must lay down their arms and focus on building a better russia and Ukraine once the war ends. “There will be some territorial exchanges involved,” he said. “I am optimistic about the talks.”
Vance stated that all parties have negotiated in good faith so far. On April 20, Trump expressed hope for reaching a peace agreement in Ukraine in the coming weeks. According to The new York Post, Trump’s plan likely includes deploying European forces to territories controlled by Kyiv and establishing a joint commission with representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and a non-NATO third country to oversee the ceasefire.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned that if peace talks do not conclude soon, Trump will abandon efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis. Trump himself acknowledged the possibility of America exiting negotiations but said he does not want such an outcome to happen.
