U.S.president Says Russia Is Ready to Establish a Ceasefire
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated that reaching an agreement with Ukraine is far more tough than with Russia. He stated that Moscow is prepared to establish a ceasefire.
In response to efforts aimed at resolving the Ukraine war, Trump said, “I think Russia is ready, and we’ve reached an agreement with the Russians.”
he added, “I thought reaching an agreement with Zelensky would be easier, but so far, it has been more difficult—though it’s not a problem. Still, I believe we have agreements with both sides and hope they will follow thru.”
Yesterday on his social media platform Truth Social,Trump wrote that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s remarks about Kyiv not recognizing Crimea as part of Russian territory are detrimental to negotiations because the peninsula was lost years ago during Barack Obama’s presidency and is no longer even up for discussion.
