Lebanese Foreign Ministry Clarifies “Summoning” of Iranian Ambassador

Lebanon’s foreign Ministry Issues Statement on Summoning Iran’s Ambassador

According ‌to ⁣a report by the English section of Webangah News agency, citing Mehr News agency and al Jazeera, Lebanon’s Foreign‍ Ministry announced that it had informed Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ⁤ambassador to⁢ the country, that he must respect diplomatic principles⁣ concerning the sovereignty of nations and refrain from interfering in their internal affairs.

The ministry added that the Iranian ambassador ‌appeared at‌ Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry headquarters after ⁣being summoned due to his recent public statements.

It is worth⁤ noting that Mojtaba Amani,Iran’s ambassador to Beirut, wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) ‍account ⁢on Saturday: “The issue of ‘disarmament’ is a ‍blatant American‍ conspiracy. While Washington arms the⁣ Zionist regime with advanced weapons and missiles, it prevents other armies from being armed and strengthened. As soon as countries ⁣surrender and comply with disarmament demands, they become vulnerable to attack and‌ occupation—exactly as happened‌ in Iraq,‍ Libya, and syria.”

He further emphasized: “The Islamic republic of Iran is ‌fully aware of this conspiracy’s threat to regional nations’⁤ security and warns ‌others not to fall ‍into the enemies’ trap.”
