News Sources Report New Consecutive Earthquakes in Turkey
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, news sources have reported new earthquakes measuring 4.5 and 4.6 magnitude in Turkey.
The sources stated that a 4.6-magnitude earthquake shook Kütahya province.Turkish media reported that educational institutions were closed following today’s tremor in the region.
Concurrently, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that a 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Simav district of Kütahya province.
AFAD stated that the quake occurred at 07:23 local time at a depth of 8.81 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface.Additionally, another tremor measuring 3.9 magnitude was recorded in the same area at 07:29 local time.
No casualties or property damage have been reported from thes earthquakes so far.
