According to a report by the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Steve Witkoff, the U.S.President’s special envoy for Middle East affairs, held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Russian media reports indicate that Yuri Ushakov, the Russian president’s aide, and Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), were present during the meeting between Putin and Witkoff.
Witkoff’s visit to Russia and his meeting with Putin come as he is scheduled to hold indirect talks on Saturday in Oman with Iran’s negotiating team,led by Abbas Araqchi. This marks their third round of discussions aimed at reaching an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.
