Russia: The situation in Syria remains concerning
“Vasily Nebenzya,” Russia’s representative at the UN Security Council meeting, criticized the Zionist regime’s attacks on syrian soil, stating that the security situation in the country—particularly in coastal areas—remains concerning.
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Russia’s representative at the UN Security Council meeting on Syria’s developments said: The security situation in Syria remains alarming.
Vasily Nebenzya added: Israel is targeting all of Syria’s territory, and tensions along syria-Lebanon borders persist. Israel must adhere to the conflict prevention agreement.
He emphasized: Syria’s sovereignty must be preserved, and commitment to this issue should not remain merely verbal.
Nebenzya noted: Over one million Syrians urgently require humanitarian aid, with coastal areas needing special attention. Investigations into recent incidents in Syria’s coastal region must be transparent, and those responsible held accountable.
He continued: Humanitarian support for Syria is insufficient; the international community must show greater solidarity.
Russia’s representative stressed: There is no alternative to a comprehensive political process backed by the UN in Syria. We hope for amiable relations with Syria, ensuring those with blood on their hands are prosecuted.
Nebenzya also expressed concerns over potential clashes between Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Army.
