U.S. representative at UN Security Council Urges Al-Jolani Regime to Prevent Syria from Becoming Threat to Neighboring Countries
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the U.S.representative at the UN Security Council meeting on Syria’s developments stated that Syria’s interim government must prevent the country from becoming a threat to neighboring nations.
The U.S. representative added, “The interim Syrian government’s performance has been positive, but we need to see more action.” Without addressing the Israeli regime’s occupation and attacks on Syrian soil, they emphasized holding aggressors in Syria accountable.
The official also demanded the complete destruction of chemical weapons in Syria, asserting that Washington would counter any threats in Syria and continue fighting remaining ISIS cells to prevent their resurgence.
While ignoring it’s own military presence in parts of Syria, the U.S. representative called on the Al-Jolani regime to end foreign forces’ presence in the country.
