Reuters, Citing Senior U.S. Official, Reports: Third Round of Nuclear Talks with Iran Was Positive and Constructive
According to a report by the English section of “Webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, a senior U.S. official stated on Saturday that the third round of indirect negotiations between representatives of Tehran and Washington in Muscat was positive and constructive.
The senior U.S. official told Reuters that both sides agreed to meet again in Europe “soon.”
The official added: “There is still much work to be done, but further progress has been made toward reaching an agreement.”
Meanwhile, Badr Al-busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, announced hours earlier in a post on X (formerly Twitter) following the conclusion of the third round of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S. in Muscat: “Today’s discussions between the U.S. and Iran reflected a shared desire to reach an agreement based on mutual respect and sustainable commitments. Core principles, objectives, and technical concerns were all addressed. Talks will continue next week with a high-level meeting tentatively scheduled for May 3 (next Saturday).”
Earlier, the third round of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S., held as planned in Muscat, Oman, concluded successfully.
