Turkish Foreign Ministry Condoles Deadly Explosion at Iran’s Shahid Rajaei Port
The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed condolences over the tragic explosion at Shahid Rajaei Port in southern Iran in an official statement.
According to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency,” citing mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry extended sympathies to the Iranian government and people on Saturday night following the deaths of several citizens in the blast at Shahid Rajaei Port in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan Province.
the statement read: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the deaths and injuries of numerous individuals due to the explosion at Bandar Abbas Port. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims and the Iranian nation, wishing swift recovery for the injured.”
Anadolu Agency reported that a powerful explosion occurred early Saturday at Shahid Rajaei Port along the Persian Gulf coast, with its cause still undetermined.
Citing latest figures from Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar momeni, 14 people were killed and 750 others injured in this incident so far.
