Pakistan’s Defense Minister Says China,Russia,or Western Nations Can Participate in truth-Finding Process Amid Tensions with India
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Khwaja Asif, Pakistan’s Defense Minister, stated in an interview with Sputnik that Russia and China could participate in an international inquiry regarding the recent attack in Kashmir.
He added: “I believe Russia, China, or even Western countries can play a positive role in this crisis.”
Asif further noted: “These nations could form an investigative team to verify the validity of India’s claims.”
Earlier, he had remarked: “I don’t think this conflict will escalate into a nuclear exchange. Both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers, but I don’t foresee the situation deteriorating to that extent.”
Asif’s comments follow last week’s attack in Pulwama, where at least 26 tourists were killed and several others injured.
