New York Times claim on time and location of next round of Tehran-Washington talks
The New York Times, citing a U.S. source, has published details about the next round of indirect talks between Tehran and washington.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, The new York Times reported—quoting a senior U.S. official—that the next round of indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington will take place within the next two weeks.
The unnamed American source claimed that while U.S.negotiators have agreed to continue discussions, no specific timeline has been provided.
The New York Times quoted the official as saying: “The atmosphere of the talks was very serious and constructive. We moved away from some larger issues, but this does not mean we have resolved all differences.”
They added: “We have disagreements over both major and minor issues. However, to reduce these gaps, discussions will be held this week in the capitals (Tehran and Washington).”
According to this American official, the next round of negotiations with Oman’s mediation will be held in Europe. He also stated that the talks (third round) will last four years and described them as “protracted.”

Regarding the level of negotiations, Iran’s Foreign Minister stated: “At this active level, it will involve delegations led by deputy foreign ministers and accompanied by expert teams.”
