Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Offers Condolences to Iran Over Fatal Incident at Shahid Rajaei port
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed condolences to the Iranian nation and government over the deaths of several citizens in the Shahid Rajaei Port incident.
According to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency,” citing Mehr News Agency and APA, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry stated in a release today: “The explosion at Shahid Rajaei Port has deeply saddened us.”
The ministry’s statement added: “We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and also to the people and government of Iran, and sincerely hope for the swift recovery of those injured.”
Yesterday, a fire and explosion involving containers at Shahid rajaei Port claimed 18 lives among Iranian citizens and left hundreds injured.Following this tragic incident, numerous countries sent messages of sympathy and condolences to Iran’s government and people.
