According to a report by the English section of “Webangah News Agency,” citing Mehr News Agency and RT, The Wall Street Journal revealed that a U.S. government agency will assess federal employees based on their loyalty to Donald Trump, the country’s president.The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the federal government’s human resources arm, is responsible for this evaluation plan. A memo by acting OPM Director Chuck Grisham, reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, states that senior government officials will be assessed based on their ”commitment to executing laws and policies aligned with the president’s agenda.”
The report notes that these documents describe Trump’s priorities as the “most critical element” in evaluating officials’ performance.
The Wall Street Journal added that U.S. government agencies will implement this new performance program starting in fiscal year 2026.
previously, federal employees were evaluated based on factors like work intelligence, leadership skills, coalition-building abilities, and job efficiency—but loyalty was not a formal criterion until now.
