German minister: We ask Ukraine not to accept the US proposal for surrender
German Defense Minister: Ukraine Should Not Accept Trump’s Ceasefire Proposal, as It Would Mean ‘Surrender’
Germany’s Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius, stated that Ukraine should not agree to the recent proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump, which involves ceding large portions of its territory in exchange for a ceasefire with Russia, as accepting it would amount to “surrender.”
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera and Mehr News Agency, Pistorius emphasized that while Kyiv understands the need for territorial compromises to achieve a lasting ceasefire, it must not reach a point where it accepts trump’s latest offer.
In an interview with Germany’s ARD network, he said: “Ukraine could have achieved what Trump proposed a year ago on its own—but now this looks like surrender. I see no added value in such an agreement.”
