Moscow awaits Kyiv signal for direct negotiations
Kremlin Spokesperson Says Signs of Readiness for Resuming Direct Russia-Ukraine Negotiations must Come from Kyiv
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, believes that Kyiv must send a signal to resume negotiations with Moscow.When asked weather Russia is waiting for a signal from Washington or expects direct indications from Kyiv, Peskov stated: “This sign must come from Kyiv. They should at least take some action on this matter.They still have a legal ban on this (resuming negotiations). So far, we have not seen any steps taken.”
Earlier,former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, his Ukrainian counterpart, was prepared to recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea and drop claims to the peninsula.
