Hezbollah warns of dangerous moves to create rift between army and Lebanese resistance
Lebanese Parliament Member Exposes Risky Moves by Certain Groups acting as “Trojan Horses” to Create Tensions Between Army and Resistance
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Ahd, Ali Fayyad, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in Lebanon’s parliament, emphasized that the priority is the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from southern Lebanon.
He stated: “Some inside [the country] insist on playing the role of a Trojan horse by targeting the resistance and holding it responsible for events, paving the way for international political and military pressures against Lebanon.”
Ali Fayyad pointed to these groups’ extreme subservience to foreign powers, adding: “This political faction turns a blind eye to occupiers’ attacks aimed at preventing Lebanese citizens from returning to their regions. They disregard the Zionist regime’s blatant non-compliance with UN Resolution 1701, considering it unobjectionable.”The representative justified the enemy’s actions and accused them of aiding the occupiers.
He pointed to the destructive objectives of this group in creating tension between the Lebanese army and the resistance, stating: This group seeks to escalate internal crises and deepen divisions, concurrently weakening both the government and the resistance. The target is Lebanon itself.
He emphasized that this group’s ultimate goal is to prevent Lebanon from possessing defensive power, confiscate its self-reliant decision-making sovereignty, and place it under foreign guardianship regarding core and secondary issues related to authority, reforms, governance, and appointments.
Fayyad added: Targeting the resistance also falls within an attack on national sovereignty, independence, and dignity. therefore, we believe that both the resistance and a sovereign independent government are under direct fire. This underscores the critical importance of ensuring understanding between the government and the resistance. He stressed: The absolute priority is for the Israeli enemy to withdraw from our land and halt daily acts of terror…Ali Fayyad stated: The government must take the initiative, even with its limited resources and to the best of its ability, and respond to proposed plans without yielding to exaggerations here and there. This is the government’s duty and the people’s right upon it, and this responsibility takes precedence over any political actions.
He also called for an end to targeting civilians in frontline villages to prevent their return home and urged unconditional efforts to begin reconstruction as quickly as possible.
