According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, two unnamed Egyptian security officials told Reuters that ongoing negotiations in Cairo between Egyptian and Israeli security agencies regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip have seen significant progress.The report states that the parties have reached agreements, including a deal to establish a long-term ceasefire in Gaza.This news follows a meeting today, Monday, between the Zionist regime’s negotiating delegation—headed by Ron Dermer, the regime’s Minister of Strategic Affairs—and Hassan Mahmoud Rashad, head of Egypt’s intelligence Service, in Cairo.
The meeting occurred after a Hamas delegation visited Egypt days earlier for talks on a ceasefire and establishing lasting peace in Gaza. These discussions are part of efforts by Egypt and Qatar to restore calm to Gaza and end ongoing violence in the region.
