Pakistani Defense⁣ Minister clarifies Remarks on Potential ⁤Military Conflict ⁢with ‍India

According to a report by the English section of⁣ “webangah News ⁣Agency” citing Mehr News agency​ and Russia al-Youm, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan’s Defense Minister, emphasized that he did not speak about​ the outbreak of war between his country and India during his recent press statements.

He added: “I⁣ was asked ⁢about ⁣the possibility of war. I said the next three or⁣ four days are critical—but I did ⁢not say war would begin ⁢in three days.”

Asif further stated: ‍ “I do not​ predict an immediate⁤ military operation, but tensions remain ⁤high. If we are attacked, we will respond appropriately.”

The day before, ‍Khawaja ⁣Asif had warned of an imminent Indian military action, stating: “An ‍Indian military⁢ attack is imminent.”

Pakistan’s Defense Minister also reported a large-scale deployment ⁢of Pakistani⁤ forces along​ the ⁣border with India and stressed that both countries​ should​ refrain from using nuclear options ⁤in⁣ case of a conventional⁤ armed conflict.
