Russian Defense Ministry Announces Capture of Territory in Eastern Ukraine
The Russian Defense Ministry announced today (Tuesday) that its forces have taken control of the village of Doroshkova in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, according to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News agency and RT.
This advance comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a three-day ceasefire (from May 8 to May 11) to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, stated that Kyiv has not yet issued an official response to this announcement.
