BRICS Foreign Ministers Condemn Civilian Killings in Syria and Israeli Regime’s Crimes in Gaza and West Bank
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, the BRICS foreign ministers, during their meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, condemned the killing of civilians in Syria’s latakia and Tartus provinces. Thay warned that the presence of terrorist groups in Syria threatens neighboring countries.
In their statement, the ministers strongly condemned the large-scale violent actions in Latakia and Tartus as March 6 (Esfand 16), including the mass killing of Alawite civilians. They emphasized the need for a firm stance against all forms of terrorism and extremism while reaffirming their commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
The BRICS foreign ministers also stressed negotiations to end aggressive actions in Gaza and demanded the withdrawal of Zionist forces from the region. They rejected any forced displacement—permanent or temporary—of Palestinians and denounced provocative attempts by Israel to impose control over Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
