The English section of the Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, reported that the Wall Street Journal disclosed U.S. President Donald Trump had asked his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, during a phone call to support attacks against Yemen’s Ansarullah forces—notably in military operations, intelligence sharing, and financial aid. However, el-Sisi rejected the request.
The Egyptian president countered Trump’s demand by stating that a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is the best way to halt Yemeni forces’ operations.Informed sources also revealed that during the call,Trump emphasized his efforts to secure free passage for American ships through the Suez Canal.
