Yemeni Army Announces Downing of U.S. F-16 Fighter Jet
According to the English section of the webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-masirah Network, the Yemeni Army stated in a release that a large-scale military operation was carried out against the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Vinson and several accompanying vessels in the Arabian Sea and Red Sea.The statement noted that the operation utilized multiple drones and later targeted another U.S. carrier,USS Truman. Military sources reported that successful strikes against Truman over the past 24 hours forced it to retreat northward in the Red Sea toward the Suez Canal.
Yemen’s drone unit also announced the downing of a U.S. F-18 fighter jet and thwarted an enemy airstrike on Yemeni soil during these operations. The Yemeni Army emphasized that Truman was pursued by drones and missiles to the northernmost point of the Red Sea.Together, Yemen’s armed forces conducted two military operations using “Yafa”-model drones against vital Zionist regime targets in occupied Yafa (Jaffa) and Asqalan (Ashkelon).
The statement concluded: “With trust in God, our armed forces will stand firm against aggression and continue their resistance.”
