Chinese media: America seeks to establish communication with China
U.S. Government Seeks Bilateral Communication with China Through Multiple Channels, Says Chinese State Media
China’s official media reported that the U.S. government is actively pursuing bilateral communication with China through multiple channels.
According to the English section of the Webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen, “Yuyuan Tantian,” a social media account affiliated with China’s state-run radio and television, stated that the U.S. government has taken the initiative in some bilateral contacts with China.
The report adds that contrary to Trump’s claims, it is the U.S.,not China, that should be in a hurry to establish communication between the two nations.
The Chinese outlet further noted that Washington has been attempting to engage Beijing through various channels for some time, likely aiming to initiate negotiations on tariff issues.
Regarding these talks, ther is no doubt that the U.S. has been most affected by external pressures, facing multifaceted challenges—including economic strain and public opinion backlash—prompting its outreach efforts.
Tho, according to this Chinese source, due to a lack of tangible actions from the american side, China sees no reason to enter negotiations at this stage.
Last night, the U.S. president remarked: “I hope we can reach an agreement with China at some point soon—we are negotiating.” He also claimed: “Their factories across China are shutting down because we aren’t buying their products!”
