According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestinian Information Center, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a statement expressing regret over the Swiss government’s decision to ban its activities. Hamas condemned this move by a country historically recognized for its neutral stance and defense of international human rights.Hamas described the decision as an unjust and unacceptable bias against the Palestinian people, their just cause, and their legitimate resistance to occupation. The movement emphasized that this decision comes amid ongoing genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza.
In its statement, Hamas added: “The obligations of the international community—especially Switzerland—in political, humanitarian, and moral spheres demand immediate action to halt blatant violations of international law, including Geneva Conventions, which Netanyahu’s terrorist government tramples daily.Instead of imposing restrictions on our people or enforcing laws that suppress freedoms and obstruct efforts to stop Gaza’s ongoing massacres.”
Hamas further stated: “We urge Switzerland to revoke this unjustifiable decision, stand with justice, and support our people’s legitimate struggle for ending occupation and achieving their national rights—especially self-determination and establishing an self-reliant state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
