Norway: international community does not accept Israel’s prevention of aid to Gaza
Norwegian Prime Minister Declares Global Community Will Not Accept Zionist Regime’s Blockade of Aid to Gaza Strip
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Jazeera, Jonas Gahr Støre, the Prime Minister of Norway, emphasized that the international community cannot accept the Zionist regime’s obstruction of critical aid deliveries to Gaza Strip.
He stressed that those who survive death in Gaza continue their lives amid an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.Meanwhile, Bushra Khalidi, Oxfam’s Policy Director, told Al Jazeera that continuous bombardment and forced displacement have worsened Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, creating catastrophic conditions. She added that children in Gaza are suffering from severe malnutrition, with manny losing their lives.
Oxfam has called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, along with the full opening of humanitarian corridors to deliver aid to all affected individuals.
Additionally, Amjad Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO), warned that Gaza has entered an advanced stage of famine—particularly due to the occupying regime’s continued blockade of crossings, which has caused severe shortages of food and humanitarian aid.
In televised remarks, Shawa stated that most charity kitchens—on which around 40% of Gaza’s population relies for just one meal a day—will shut down in coming days as supplies run out. This signals an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, especially given rising malnutrition among children and women.
He further noted that living and sanitary conditions in Gaza are deteriorating dangerously: over two million Palestinians face food insecurity and water shortages, while hospitals—depleted of medicine and medical supplies—are unable to treat waves of wounded and sick patients.Shawa explained that closed crossings have halted most humanitarian organizations’ operations and deprived thousands of families even basic sustenance—reviving fears of widespread famine in Gaza once again.
Accordingly, PNGO has urged both the UN and Palestinian Authority to declare a state-of-famine in Gaza while demanding immediate global action to lift Israel’s siege on aid deliveries The network also warned about escalating consequences across sectors particularly health & environment if this crisis persists
