According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, informed sources speaking with the Al-Akhbar newspaper stated that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, is considering expanding this regime’s aggressions against hezbollah in Lebanon.
They added that Netanyahu has consulted with American officials, claiming that airstrikes against Lebanon have not achieved Tel Aviv’s objectives, and a ground invasion of the country must be carried out.
The sources emphasized that the Zionist regime seeks to prevent hezbollah from recovering it’s strength and rebuilding damaged areas. It appears the regime’s army is pursuing a large-scale ground assault against Lebanon.
Under this plan, the Zionist regime woudl exploit occupied territories in Syria near Lebanon’s eastern border strip—from Al-Quneitra to Damascus’ western suburbs—to advance into Lebanon’s western Beqaa regions, Rashaya, and Hasbaya.
