UNRWA: Famine in Gaza is imminent
relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees Calls for Lifting Gaza Blockade
According to a report by the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,it has now been two months since the Zionist regime imposed a complete blockade on Gaza. Zionist authorities, aiming to carry out genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, are currently preventing any humanitarian aid from entering the strip. The Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) has warned about Israel’s ongoing siege, stating that no aid has entered Gaza for nearly two months, and famine in the strip is imminent.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), UNRWA wrote: “Food supplies in Gaza are running out. Aid is stalled at Gaza’s borders, ready to be delivered. UNRWA and humanitarian partners have life-saving assistance waiting at the crossings. The border crossings must reopen—the people of Gaza cannot wait any longer.”
The international organization highlighted the imminent risk of famine and demanded an immediate opening of border crossings to allow the transfer of critical aid.
Currently, over 3,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid are ready to enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing. However, Zionist authorities—with direct U.S. support—are violating international law by using starvation as a weapon of war.
